case study: a jewel box of a kitchen poses special challenges
The client was in Italy and needed his custom kitchen completed before his return. The project was to completely renovate the kitchen in an apartment on one of the upper floors of Manhattan's prestigious Museum Tower rising above the Museum of Modern Art.
The space involved was tight as was the elevator that would carry all materials both up for the renovation and down for the packing materials and old cabinets and appliances.
The lowest estimate the client received from other firms was eighteen weeks which was well past his scheduled return from Italy.
Superior Design visited the space, reviewed the design and materials that were to be used and after brainstorming our approach, we were confident we could complete the project in twelve weeks.
As it turned out, we were able to work so seamlessly with all parties involved that we finished the entire project on budget in just SIX weeks.
Our client returned to his home to find his elegant kitchen ready for action.
Needless to say the client was delighted as was the management at Museum Tower who gave us kudos for finishing such quality work in so little time and with negligible inconvenience to other residents of the building.
